Career Advancement Opportunities Within Our Care Team
Within our Care Team there are many opportunities. You will begin your employment as a Band 1 ‘Health and Social Carer’. Following on from your probation period, you will be welcomed to apply for the position of Band 2 ‘Senior Health and Social Carer’. With this role comes the additional responsibility of maintaining and checking care plans on a regular basis, notifying the office staff of any changes, buddying up with new staff starting with the company, signing off new staff competencies, and being assigned to your “Key Clients”
From a Senior role, individuals have the chance to advance to the role of a Band 3 ‘Advanced Health and Social Carer’. This role encompasses the duties of Band 1 and 2 carers, with the addition of conducting Spot Checks to ensure staff compliance, participating with a member of the office team to conduct initial assessments when taking on new Service User packages, and pursuing additional training in a subject of your choice. For example, you will see below our 4 current Band 3 Health and Social Carers along with our other 2 training champions.

Having worked for another care provider that was not very supportive, I have found that Allenby Douglas are by far the best. I joined Allenby Douglas in 2017 starting as a Band 1 Health & Social Carer. During my time here I have been given the opportunity to complete my NVQ in Health and Social Care. I then progressed onto a Band 2, and I have been successful in being appointed as Band 3. Having completed 5 Years service in 2022 I received my Long Service Award, accompanied with a very generous bonus! Our Registered Manager has given me the opportunity as a Band 3 to become a "Champion", I was ecstatic to be given the chance to gain even more experience and knowledge in a subject that I have a keen interest in! I recommend Allenby Douglas to all my friends and family!
